President announces Medical University for Mirpur

MIRPUR: President Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhary on Monday announced establishment of a medical university in Mirpur. He made the announcement while addressing a reception hosted by the Health Employees Organization in Mirpur.
President maintained that, PTI led government is taking pragmatic steps for welfare of the poor segments of society in line with the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan. He said Sehat Card was a great initiative launched for welfare of people. The government is making all out efforts to bring improvement in health department, adding the government is trying to introduce reforms in the sector and support of people is needed in that regard, he added.
While lauding the efforts of the health department, President said that, the employees of health department have rendered valuable services in earthquake and COVID-19 pandemic. The reception was attended by Dr. Fida Ahmed Raja, Dr. Farooq Noor, Chaudhry Muhammad Mansha, Afraz Akhtar Chaudhry, Chaudhry Gulzar Ali, Saleem-ul-Haq Malik, Rashid Sardar, Rafaqat Tahir Awan, Chaudhry Sajid, Raja Shehzad, Naheed Rehman and others.
