RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE) Directorate has demolished two site offices, boundary walls and also removed wall chalking and boards of illegal housing scheme namely Margalla Hills Enclave in Mouza Mohra Shah Wali at GT Road near Taxila Rawalpindi. The Director MP&TE RDA has declared illegal / unauthorized advertisements by above mentioned illegal housing scheme. The MP&TE Directorate RDA’s Staff including Samiuallh Niazi Deputy Director Planning, Superintendent Scheme, Scheme Inspector and others with the assistance of the police from concerned police station carried out above mentioned operation. The owner of this property was running illegal housing scheme’s booking offices and advertisements in violation of Punjab Private Housing schemes and Land Subdivision Rules 2010. RDA spokesman said Chairman RDA Tariq Mehmood Murtaza and Director General RDA Ammara Khan directed the MP&TE Directorate to take strict action against illegal housing schemes, development / construction of booking and site offices without any fear or favour and action should be taken according to the law. He said RDA advises the general public that in their own interest they should not make investment in any illegal / unauthorized Housing Scheme which status declared illegal by RDA. Otherwise, they themselves will be responsible for their losses. RDA also requested Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO), Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Ltd (SNGPL) and PTCL, not to extend services to these illegal housing schemes as its status is unapproved / illegal, he added.
