Health professionals of AJK fighting against COVID-19 honored

MUZAFFARABAD: Frontline workers of Health Department AJK were honored in a special ceremony organized here on Saturday by District Health Office, Health Department AJK on completion of 100 days of COVID-19. Addressing on the occasion Director General Health AJK, Dr. Sardar Aftab Hussain said that people of AJK should realize the gravity of COVID-19 and adopt all precautionary measures to avert from this fatal disease. He was of the view that those who had been diagnosed corona Positive should keep themselves in isolation take proper medicines for early recovery. Dr. Sardar Aftab Hussain lauded the role of health professionals especially field staff and media persons for public awareness. He also appreciated the keen interest and guidance of Prime Minister AJK, Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan; Minister for Health; Dr. Najeeb Naqi, Former CS AJK; Mathar Niaz Rana, Secretary Health; Major General Tahir Sardar. Speaking at the occasion, Additional Secretary Interior Masood ur Rehman said that it is imperative for hospitalization of corona positive patients and despite of self-medication all infected persons should get medical treatment from recognized hospitals under the supervision of proper medical specialists. He said AJK government has extended all possible facilities for such patients. Deputy Commissioner, Muzaffarabad Badar Munir addressing on the occasion said that the number of corona patients in Pakistan is in thousands and a number of infected person’s lost their lives due to this fatal virus. District Health Officer Muzaffarabad Dr. Muhammad Saeed Awan briefed about the activities being performed to over-come COVID-19. Certificates were awarded on excellent working. SSP Muzaffarabad; Yaseen Baig said that, police has given due support to officials combating COVID-19 and in implementation of SOPs.
