Barrister Sultan briefs Azam Swati on Kashmir issue

ISLAMABAD: The former PM AJK, President PTI AJK, and Member Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly met with the Federal Minister for Anti-Narcotics, Azam Swati and briefed him on current situation in Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK) and over all Kashmir issue here on Friday. Both the leaders discussed the matters of mutual interests during their meeting in Islamabad.

Prior to this meeting, various delegations from Mirpur met with Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry in Islamabad. Speaking at the occasion, Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry said that the people of Mirpur are frightened of continued aftershocks of earthquake. People of Mirpur are of the view that these aftershocks are because of more water in the dam. There should be proper inquiry of this issue, he added.

Barrister Sultan said that it is an alarming situation that Mirpur and its adjoining areas often jolted by the earthquake. Government should go for geological survey of Mirpur to find out the real cause behind earthquake, he added.
