ISLAMABAD: RASA, a joint representative organization of schools in rural areas of Islamabad, announced to hold sit-in in front of the National Press Club in Islamabad on Sunday against the prolonged closure of schools. Khizar Satti, Yasir Satti, Ishtiaq Hussain, Hafiz Mohsin, Hameed Arif Kayani, Chaudhry Shehzad, Tauqeer Chaudhry and others officials of RASA said that due to Prolonged closure of schools thousands of teachers are unemployed, millions of students are deprived of education, online system in rural areas has been failed completely. The government did not provide any relief package. There will be a protest march and sit-in outside Press Club Islamabad at 4 pm on Sunday, they added. They said that, the education system is in disarray due to prolonged closure of institutions. The government is not opening educational institutions after the Corona Emergency under a particular agenda which tantamount to academic suicide. The government should issue orders to open educational institutions. We will Implement ideal SOPs. Educational institutions are a prime example of discipline. We will hold a protest march and a sit-in outside the Press Club Islamabad on Sunday at 4 pm. We will announce our next strategy there. All private sector organizations and all private educational institutions must participate in this march, they further said.
