Education inevitable for progress, development: Sardar Yaqoob Khan

RAWALAKOT: Education is inevitable for progress and development, said the former President Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Sardar Yaqoob Khan here on Monday. He expressed this while addressing a delegation of students.

He raised the question that what would be the future of the nation whose youngsters are busy in protesting for their rights. The demands of students should be fulfilled. Tuition fee waiver should be given to deserving students, he added.

Sardar Yaqoob Khan said that Universities are closed due to the spread of coronavirus pandemic. The lockdown caused by the spread of coronavirus has increased the unemployment. The government should give fee waiver to the students who are not able to pay their fee. Those students who are sound financially should also be given relief, he added.

He demanded from the government to provide relief to the Universities as well as to private institutions. Private educational institutions are also facing the worst problems. It is the responsibility of the government to provide relief to private institutions as well, he further said.
