Mirpur: The District Administration of Mirpur is once again in limelight for their incompetence and unprofessional attitude in handling Covid-19. The District Administration ordered the Municipal Committees to register the butchers in their area and conduct their COVID-19 tests before Eid Ul Adha. The Municipal Committees registered the butchers against the minimal fee of Rs.500 and their samples were sent to laboratories for testing. Surprisingly, the District Administration issued the test reports on third day of Eid Ul Adha and it was revealed that 5 butchers tested positive with COVID-19 including three in Mirpur City, one in Islamgarh and one in Chakswari.The 5 butchers have reportedly slaughtered more than 25 animals during Eid Ul Adha and now the incompetence in handling of situation have exposed the public to potential threat of COVID-19.The Daily Country News tried to contact the Deputy Commissioner Mirpur for official stance of administration but he was said to be in a meeting. Mr.Amir Razaq, Administrator Municipal Committee Islamgarh was also contacted for his stance but was accessible.
