Commissioner Mirpur urges to increase pace of anti-encroachment drive

MIRPUR: The anti-encroachment drive in Mirpur city should be fastened, said the Commissioner Mirpur Division, Chaudhry Muhammad Raqeeb here on Tuesday. He expressed this while presiding over a session regarding encroachments and other issues of the Mirpur city. He said that Municipal Corporation should improve the health and cleanliness facilities in the city. He directed the relevant departments to increase the pace of operation clean up. There should be no compromise on encroachments. Steps should be taken to improve the drainage system to avoid any problematic situation due to the current spell of rain, he added. Deputy Commissioner (DC) Raja Tahir Mumtaz Khan; Administrator Municipal Corporation, Mirza Tahir Mehmood Jarral; Chief Officer Municipal Corporation, Chaudhry Ghulam Yasin; State Officer Municipal Corporation, Chaudhry Muhammad Fayyaz; and others attended the session.
