ISLAMABAD: Director General Pakistan Housing Authority (PHA), and CM GB Hafiz Hafeez ur Rehman agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in coming days for the resolution of the issue of housing in GB. They agreed on this term during their meeting in Islamabad on Friday. They agreed on resolving the housing issue by the collaboration of Gilgit Baltistan Housing Authority and Pakistan Housing Authority. Speaking at the occasion, CM GB said that the GB government is committed for providing homes to middle class people and low income government employees. Only 2% land of GB is useful, therefore the biggest issues of future would be related to housing and land. Government wants to build more houses on limited land so that maximum people can be accommodated, he added. CM said that there is no proper housing society in GB yet. Therefore, the need of the hour is that a planned housing society should be made in GB by the collaboration of both PHA and GB Housing Authority.
