PUBG: A Psychological War

PUBG is not a game only it is addiction as well .This game is said to be violent, an element of distraction, and a reason for many suicides and crimes in the country. Children who play violent games are more likely to have elevated war-like notions, sentiments and behavior’s and are not inclined towards helping others. “Addiction is an Individual disease, One Individuals may use but the whole nation suffers” BRENDEN GREENE, who is the designer of the most astounding game ever, PUBG, is the lead director, editor and cinematographer of the game. With this game he has gained massive popularity among gaming personnel. Player Unknown’s Battle grounds (PUBG) is the online battle royale game developed and published by PUBG Corporation, a subsidiary of South Korean Video Game Company Blue hole. The game is based on previous mods that were created by Brenden “ Player Unknown “ Greene for other games , inspired by the 2000 Japanese film Battle Royale , and expanded into a standalone game under Green’s creative direction . In the game, up to one hundred players parachute onto an island and scavenge for weapons and equipment to kill others while avoiding getting killed them. The available safe area for the game’s map decreases in size over time, directing surviving players into tighter areas to force encounters. The last player or team standing wins the round. Better grounds was first released for Microsoft Windows via steam’s early access beta program in March 2017, with a full release in December 2017. The game was also released for Microsoft studios for the Xbox Game preview program that same month, and officially released in September 2018. A free-to-play mobile version for Android and iOS was released in 2018, in addition to a port for the playstation4. Battlegrounds are one of the best-selling and most played video games of all times. The minors in our world take very serious part in playing PUBG. The purpose of their lives surrounds around PUBG. They were upset and feel stressed when they were told to stop playing and do other work like studying, outdoor gaming, social functioning etc. here we have some recent example we have to kept in minds. Teenagers commit suicide in Rajasthan after playing PUBG game. The boy’s family members have informed that he had downplayed PUBG game two days back on his mobile phone. A teenage boy from Kota who was a student of class ninth alleged committed suicide on Sunday after playing a video game on his mobile phone. A boy studying in class ninth and a resident of Gandhi Colony committed suicide. His family members have informed that he had downloaded PUBG game two days back on his mobile phone. On June 24, a 16-year-old boy had committed suicide in Hanjarwal area by hanging himself from a ceiling fan of his house when he missed his mission in PUBG. The World Health Organization in 2018 declared gaming addiction as a mental health disorder. Addiction to video games increases depression and anxiety levels. Studies suggest that gaming effect the physical and psychological health and social functioning of people who are addicted. Known outcomes of playing PUBG are strain on the eyes, frazzle, migraine, obesity, poor sleep and more. Psychological health issues are there too such as withdrawal (irritability, poor sleep, anger) depression, insomnia and even substance abuse as a result of compulsive disorder. Addiction to such games can trigger the want of drugs and can ultimately lead towards a deterioration of health. Despite this, youngsters and adults spend a lot of time playing PUBG. The game has also been banned in some countries for allegedly being harmful and addictive to young players. PUBG banned by Jorden over “negative effects”. It is also banned in Iraq because of harmful effect on society. PUBG is also banned in Nepal on concerns over children, negative impact on children. Indonesian Muslim group slaps fatwa on this game. Pakistan temporarily bans this game after 16-year-old boy’s suicide and numerous complaints wherein it is stated that the game is addictive, wastage of time and poses a serious negative impact on the physical and psychological health of the children in Pakistan. The Chinese government has proscribed this game in the country because of the violent acts it has. The game is also banned in the Indian state of Gujarat and Indonesian province of Aceh. PUBG has been under scrutiny for being a violent game. Excessive violence can trigger aggressive thoughts, emotions and behavior that ultimately affects the mental health .Playing too much PUBG can make you less productive. Video game addiction is not a new thing but you should know that this is not good for one’s mental health. Most gamers spend their entire day playing PUBG which means they end up becoming less socially active. Just sitting around in one place and playing for long hours is not good for your physical health. One tends to become lazy. Also, staring at your computer screen for long hours can affect your eyesight and give you headaches. Those who are addicted to playing PUBG can get easily stressed out or face anxiety issues in public due to lack of social interaction. You should know that sitting in front of the computer screen for too long can make it hard for you to sleep even if you finally decide to call it day.I am sure you know that a single game of PUBG can take up to an hour to complete. Even if you play 5 matches a day, it means that you will be wasting about 4-5 hours every day doing nothing productive. Government should have to permanently ban PUBG because of its negative impacts in our society. If we want to take the new generation upward we have to stop this kind of psychological games in our country. When the new generation will strong in all perspectives including Education, Health, National Games, Creative works, Entrepreneurship, we would easily move into the developed countries. So, we have to make our youth strong by avoiding all that kind of activities.
