Syndicate of University of Sargodha approves budget for fiscal year 2022-23

SARGHODA:The Syndicate of the University of Sargodha has approved the budget for the fiscal year 2022-23. The Syndicate also approved the increment in the salaries of the university employees as per decision of the Govt. of Punjab. The meeting was chaired by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaiser Abbas while Chaudhary Iftikhar Hussain Gondal MPA, Muhammad Muneeb Sultan Cheema MPA, Ms. Shamim Aftab MPA, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali, Vice Chancellor Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad, Prof. Dr. Mahmood Saleem, Vice Chancellor Mir Chakkar Khan Rind University of Technology Dera Ghazi Khan, Prof. Dr. Rubina Tareen, former Dean Faculty of Languages and Islamic studies, Mr. Sana Ullah former Director General OIC, Prof. Dr. Ghulam Abbas Gondal Dean Faculty of Arts & Humanities University of Sargodha, Mr. Shahid Zaman Lak, Additional Secretary Higher Education Department Govt. of the Punjab, Mr. Shahid Imtiaz, Additional Director Law and Parliamentary Affairs and Mr. Abdul Ghaffar Sandhu representative of Secretary Finance Department Govt. of the Punjab attended the meeting. The Registrar, University of Sargodha, Mr. Waqar Ahmad presented the agenda of the Syndicate. The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Qaiser Abbas briefed the House about the educational and research achievements of the university and Syndicate members’ appreciated the progress of the varsity at the academic as well as administrative front under the dynamic leadership of Prof. Dr. Qaiser Abbas.
Furthermore, on the recommendations of Finance and Planning Committee University of Sargodha the Syndicate approved the budget for fiscal year 2022-23 as well as 15% increase in salaries of university employees. The House also approved the pending 25% Disparity Reduction Allowance for the employees of BS1-19 subject to approval of the Governor/Chancellor. The House also approved the recommendations of Selection Board regarding appointments of faculty members.
Moreover, the Syndicate on the recommendation of Academic Council also restored the Department of Punjabi, Persian, and Arabic which had been merged on other departments previously. At the end Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Qaiser Abbas thanked members of the Syndicate for their participation in the meeting and valuable contribution in uplifting the academic standards of the university.
