Pakistan’s farmers are economically murdered: PMML

Lahore – Pakistan Markazi Muslim League President Khaleed Masood Sindhu and General Secretary Saifullah Khalid said in a joint statement that the country’s farmers are being economically murdered today, and the excesses being committed against the farming community will not be tolerated in any way. The government should ensure the purchase of all wheat at the fixed price. Pakistan Markazi Muslim League will hold a protest rally in Lahore on May 12 against the injustices faced by farmers. If the government does not protect the rights of farmers, protests will be held across the country.

Expressing these views, they were addressing a press conference at the Lahore Press Club along with farmer leaders. On this occasion, Pakistan Markazi Muslim League spokesperson Tabish Qayyum, Irfan Mahis, and other leaders were also present.

Pakistan Markazi Muslim League President Khaleed Masood Sindhu said while addressing the press conference that agriculture is the backbone of Pakistan’s economy, and the Pakistan Markazi Muslim League will not let it suffer in any way. Our agriculture is in danger due to Indian water aggression. The Pakistan government imported 35 lakh tons of wheat in 2023 instead of importing 10 lakh tons, causing huge losses to local farmers. Therefore, the government should take immediate notice of this situation and protect the rights of farmers.
