NGO opens training center for widows , orphans

Muzaffarabad: Chairman of the NGO, Kashmir Orphan Relief Trust(KORT) Chaudhry Akhtar Hussain inaugurated the vocational and training center for orphans and widows. The center has been established by a local social worker Laiba Kausar, of Azad Kashmir.

The inauguration ceremony of the Vocational and Training Center was held here in which political and social figures also participated.

Speaking on this occasion, Chairman KORT Chaudhry Akhtar Hussain said that service to humanity is the greatest duty. The purpose of establishing the trust is to serve the needy people in the society.

The purpose of establishing the vocational training institute is to make women financially strong so that they can stand on their own feet after getting training from here.

He said that overseas Kashmiris have always helped their needy brothers and sisters living inside Azad Kashmir. KORT would continue to support the needy segment of the society.

Speaking on this occasion, the project in-charge. Laiba Kausar said that this institute has been started for the training of needy women. She said that the training of handicrafts, sewing and embroidery would be taught to widows and poor women in this institution.
