The new chief minister thanked Imran for his trust and support.

 

Lahore: After Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervez Elahi took charge of his post, former Federal Minister Munis Elahi along with his son met Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday.

Khan congratulated Elahi on assuming the post of Chief Minister. Elahi thanked Imran Khan for his trust. The two leaders discussed the current political situation in detail in the meeting. Dr. Shahbaz Gul was also present in the meeting. Meanwhile, the new chief minister expressed deep sorrow and regret over the loss of life and property due to floods in Rajanpur.

He directed the Commissioner of Dera Ghazi Khan to supervise the relief activities and provide all possible help to the flood victims. He directed to provide food and medical aid to the flood victims and also provide fodder to cattle.

He also asked the commissioner for a report on human and financial losses and directed him to estimate the damage to farms, houses and other properties.

The Chief Minister also asked the Commissioner Rawalpindi for a report on the death of two children due to drowning in the pond and ordered that an inquiry be made and the report submitted.
