Under the instructions of the provincial government, the first meeting of District Land Use Planning and Management Committee Haripur was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Fawad while tehsil Chairman Haripur, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Finance and Planning), Assistant Commissioners, TMOs and representatives of all district institutions participated in the meeting.
The participants of the meeting were informed about this new Act of the provincial government. Master planning and zoning of the district will be finalized according to the Act. A representative of the Sub-National Governance Program presented the Act who assured to provide sustainable technical support from his institution.
On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the importance of this Act in the context of Haripur district. He expressed his optimism that Haripur district will be among the first and a model district to implement the procedure of this Act. DC Haripur also directed all members to ensure compliance with regard to land use. Deputy Commissioner Haripur especially thanked the Sub-National Governance Program team, who chose Haripur district for this kind of technical assistance.
