Mayor Mirpur Municipal Corporation Chaudhary Usman Ali Khalid has said that the significance of the Civil Defense cannot be ignored during both peace and war times.
He was speaking at a ceremony in which Eidi was distributed among the volunteers of Civil Defense by an NGO “Think and Fix”.

The Mayor said that whenever there is an emergency or natural disaster like floods or earthquakes, the volunteers of Civil Defense reach there without wasting a moment to help the people. They provide free of cost service to the nation.
