On the call of PTI AJK president and former prime Minister by Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi, protests were held across Azad Kashmir in response to the arrest of Imran Khan. Workers of PTI blocked roads by burning tires and were shouting slogans against the PDM government. Protests were held in Muzaffarabad, Abbaspur, Tatta Pani, Kotli, Hajira, Muzaffarabad, Rawalkot, Bhimbar, Mirpur, Palandri, Neelam, and other places.
The President of PTI AJK by Sardar Abdul Qayyum Niazi organized a large protest in support of Imran Khan, and people came out on the streets to express solidarity with him. Qayyum Niazi criticized the treatment of Imran Khan, saying it had damaged Pakistan’s soft image around the world. Pakistani and Kashmiri communities around the world also protested to show their support for Imran Khan.
The President of PTI Azad Kashmir strongly condemned the raid by the Punjab Police on the house of Member Legislative Assembly Dewan Mohiuddin and urged the police to refrain from such tactics and harassment. He also condemned the arrest of Asad Umar, saying that the PDM government had started a crackdown and that expressing solidarity with a leader should not be a crime.
He demanded the immediate release of Imran Khan and expressed concern that the situation could lead to political instability. All highways in Kashmir are closed, and people are expressing their solidarity with Imran Khan. The President emphasized the need for a stable Pakistan so that the issue of Kashmir could be raised in a lively manner.
