KP: Al-Shifa Eye Trust, in collaboration with Frontier Corps North, successfully organized a free eye camp in Khyber District with the aim of providing accessible eye care services to the local population. The eye camp received immense appreciation from the community and proved to be a significant step towards improving eye health in the area.
The eye camp, an initiative taken by Frontier Corps North, aimed to address the pressing need for comprehensive eye care services in the Khyber District. During the eye camp, a dedicated team of medical professionals and volunteers worked tirelessly to provide care to those in need. A total of 1,124 patients, including men, women, and children, were checked up.
The services included comprehensive eye examinations, prescription glasses, surgeries, and free medication. As part of the eye camp, 433 patients received free medication to address their immediate eye care needs. Additionally, 141 patients were provided with prescription eyeglasses, enabling them to improve their vision and enhance their quality of life. One of the significant achievements of the eye camp was the successful completion of eye surgeries for 39 patients. The success of this free eye camp highlights the organizations’ commitment to improving the eye health of the community and ensuring the accessibility of quality eye care services.
