Religious leaders important for peace, security: CM Gilgit Baltistan

Rawalpindi: Chief Minister Haji Gulbar Khan praised the services of Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi in promoting unity, harmony, and coexistence among different schools of thought in Gilgit-Baltistan.

These views were expressed by Cm gilgit Baltistan during a meeting with head of Islami Tehreek Pakistan, Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi. Provincial ministers Haji Abdul Hamid, Mushtaq Hussain, and Raja Naseer Ali Khan were also present on this occasion. During the meeting, discussions were held on mutual interests, and there was an exchange of ideas on matters of mutual concern.

He emphasized the importance of unity, interfaith harmony, and mutual cooperation for peace and development in the region.

The meeting also addressed the ongoing issues faced by Gilgit-Baltistan, and it was agreed that peace and stability are essential for progress and development in the region. All political and religious groups were urged to prioritize the social welfare of Gilgit-Baltistan.

Chief Minister Haji Gulbar Khan stated that the issues and interests of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan are common, and the government is committed to resolving long-standing problems through mutual agreement and consultation for the sustainable development of the region. He further emphasized the crucial role of scholars and religious leaders in guiding the people towards the right path and in establishing peace and security. The provincial government acknowledges the positive role played by Allama Syed Sajid Ali Naqvi and hopes that the leaders of all political and religious groups in Pakistan will bring leadership qualities to address the longstanding issues of Gilgit-Baltistan and contribute to peace and progress in the region.
