Islamabad: President Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Chancellor Azad Jammu and Kashmir Universities Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry chaired the 53rd Syndicate meeting of Azad Jammu and Kashmir University at Kashmir House in Islamabad.
The Syndicate meeting was attended by Vice Chancellor Azad Jammu and Kashmir University Professor Dr. Muhammad Kaleem Abbasi, Secretary Presidential Affairs Muhammad Shahid Ayub, Representative Chairman Higher Education Commission Professor Dr. Mahmood ul Hassan Butt, former Secretary Government Sardar Muhammad Nawaz Khan, Representative Vice Chancellor University of Agriculture Faisalabad Dr. Jafar Jiskani, Dean Faculty of Sciences Azad Jammu and Kashmir University Professor Dr. Muhammad Rafique, Associate Dean Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences Dr. Bashir ur Rahman Kanth, Registrar University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Dr. Ghulam Murtaza, and other members of the Syndicate participated.
On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Azad Jammu and Kashmir University Professor Dr. Muhammad Kaleem Abbasi briefed the Syndicate members on ongoing projects at Kashmir University and presented detailed briefings on the issues facing Kashmir University.
Vice Chancellor Azad Jammu and Kashmir University Professor Dr. Muhammad Kaleem Abbasi also briefed President Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Chancellor Azad Jammu and Kashmir Universities Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry and Syndicate members on administrative issues of Hazara University.
The Syndicate meeting approved the budget for the fiscal year 2023-24 of Azad Jammu and Kashmir University. A joint decision was made at the Syndicate meeting to control unnecessary expenses at Kashmir University so that financial issues could be resolved expeditiously. On this occasion, President Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Chancellor Azad Jammu and Kashmir Universities Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry directed that every effort be made to improve the quality of education at Kashmir University and assured full cooperation for the improvement of educational standards. President Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Chancellor Azad Jammu and Kashmir Universities Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry expressed confidence in his full cooperation for the improvement of educational standards.
