Islamabad: Chaudhry Muhammad Yasin, Member of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly and President of Pakistan People’s Party Azad Kashmir, emphasized the paramount importance of the state’s well-being and the increased responsibilities of national security agencies when the state’s survival is at stake.
He cautioned against succumbing to expediency and called for decisive action to ensure state security, warning that failure to do so could lead the country into a civil war.
Chaudhry Yasin expressed his concerns during discussions with various delegations, highlighting Pakistan’s current challenging period marked by a struggling economy, the looming threat of terrorism, and growing conspiracies aimed at dividing institutions.
He criticized Prime Minister Imran Khan for exacerbating national divisions at a time when unity is most needed, while also noting India’s exploitation of Pakistan’s vulnerabilities.
Chaudhry Yasin urged the nation to unite against anti-national elements and actively contribute to safeguarding the state, emphasizing that the state should never be compromised for political gains. He lamented the decline of ideological politics and the weakened connection between political parties and their workers, characterizing it as a tragedy
