Muzaffarabad: EPI AJK organized the Immunization Week 2023 across Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Dr. Abdul Sattar Khan PPM EPI AJK inaugurated the immunization week by cutting the ribbon. Dr Hamid Hassan Memon was the chief guest of the event
Dr Hamid Hussain Memon said that that due to the presence of cold stores in all districts of Azad Kashmir, all types of vaccines can be stored for 20 years, Dr. Hamid Hasan Memon added that there are other partners including vaccinators who work against infectious diseases, their role is worthy of praise, vaccinating 90% is their achievement, one vaccinator vaccinates three hundred children which is capable of Acknowledgment.
The host Dr. Abdul Sattar Khan informed the participants of the event about The Big Catch Up and the weekly preventive vaccination. We are grateful to all the partners, we are also grateful to the government, Dr. Abdul Sattar Khan added that the role of UNICEF is a source of hope for us, the role of the media has always been sympathetic to us,
Dr. Abdul Sattar Khan said that the state of Azad Kashmir is in no way behind Pakistan at this time, vaccination against infectious diseases is being done in a much better way in the state than in Pakistan and people should be made aware of it in the best way. Dr. Abdul Sattar said that in 2022, 92% and 90% of the results will be achieved by this time in 2023
The ultimate goal is to protect as many children, adults and their communities from vaccine-preventable diseases as possible, so they can live happy and healthy lives.
