Gilgit: Under the supervision of Secretary Information Technology and the Department of Information, a conference was held to promote peace and security during the days of Muharram and emphasize the positive use of social and digital media.

According to details, Secretary Information Technology and the Department of Information, Zameer Abbas, chaired a high-level conference where various matters were discussed regarding the importance of Muharram and the responsibilities of media and other stakeholders.

During this occasion, discussions were held to promote peace and ensure the positive use of social media platforms and the responsibility of local media organizations. The conference focused on the practical wisdom of using social media for harmony, brotherhood, and peace.

The conference expressed its determination to ensure responsible and positive use of media platforms and to establish accurate, comprehensive, and unbiased reporting. The participants emphasized the importance of upholding journalistic ethics and presenting reports based on facts to promote peace and understanding.
