Islamabad: Preparations for observing Kashmir Solidarity Day on February 5th were finalized during the meeting chaired by Secretary of the Ministry of Kashmir Affairs, Jawad Rafique Malik. While presiding over the session, the Secretary of the Ministry of Kashmir Affairs stated that expressing solidarity with the oppressed people of Kashmir is a national obligation, and they will fulfill this obligation wholeheartedly.
A meeting was convened today in Islamabad to discuss the commemoration of Kashmir Solidarity Day both nationally and internationally on February 5th. In attendance were the Additional Secretary for Kashmir Affairs, Joint Secretaries from the Gilgit-Baltistan Council and the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Council, along with representatives from the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Interior, Information and Broadcasting, PTV, Lok Virsa, PEMRA, Railway Division, Aviation Division, NH&A, all four provinces, Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
He emphasized that for the past seven decades, India has subjected the people of occupied Kashmir to oppression and tyranny, yet India has failed miserably to suppress the indigenous sentiment of the people of occupied Kashmir. In such circumstances, the solidarity expressed by the Pakistani and Kashmiri people uplifts their spirits. He expressed satisfaction with the preparations made by all relevant departments, ensuring that all agencies and the Pakistani public will participate wholeheartedly in the events of Kashmir Solidarity Day. He asserted that not only will a message of solidarity be conveyed to the people of Indian-occupied Kashmir, but it will also be reiterated to the entire world that Pakistan’s government and people stand with their Kashmiri brethren and will not rest until they achieve their inherent right to self-determination.
Representatives from all relevant departments informed the participants of the meeting about the preparations made for Kashmir Solidarity Day and expressed their determination to observe the day in its true spirit without any shortcomings.
