Pakistani pilgrims to Ajmer Sharif have not received visas from India.
A spokesperson for the Ministry of Religious Affairs stated on Saturday that the Indian Embassy has not provided any information regarding the issuance of visas to Pakistani pilgrims for their participation in the 810th urs ceremony of Hazrat Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti.
He stated that the Indian embassy has not yet received the pilgrims’ passports.
In a statement on Saturday, a Ministry of Religious Affairs spokesperson said that Indian officials have informed them that Pakistani Zaireen will be sent to Ajmer on Tuesday.
Zaireen of Ajmer Sharif has been requested by the Ministry of Religious Affairs to arrive in Lahore on Monday at ten o’clock rather than on Sunday.
The spokesperson stated that Zaireen in Lahore will receive the passports and visas upon receipt.
The spokesperson advised the Zaireen to contact the Religious Affairs Zairat Desk at 9211670 for additional information.
The 810th urs ceremonies will take place at the shrine of Hazrat Mu’in al-Din Chishti in Ajmer, a city in the northern state of Rajasthan, at the end of the month.
