Neelum: Renowned educationist and social leader, Chairperson of KZK Foundation, Khadija Zareen Khan, commemorated the 13th of July as Kashmir Martyrs’ Day by initiating the Kashmir Cricket Tournament for Shaheed-e-Kashmir in Neelum Valley.
The tournament commenced on 13th July 2023, and the final match was played on 23rd July at Neelum. The tournament included 12 teams from Mirpur Falcons, Bariyan, Bandi, Shah Kot Laisawa, Parnai, Upper Neelum, Nousheri, Shah Kot, Kundlashahi, and Muzaffarabad.
On the occasion of the final match, Khadija Zareen Khan was the chief guest of the event. The local community highly praised the organising team for an excellent tournament, conveying a strong message to India that if our women have this courage, then our youth’s enthusiasm is touching the skies.
During the event, the local community was passionate and spirited. Following a thrilling match, Rajput Lion Star Mirpur emerged victorious.
Khadija Zareen Khan awarded trophies and cash prizes to both the winning and participating teams. It was the first time that all participating teams received cash rewards similar to the finalists.
Khadija Zareen Khan stated that the martyrs of Kashmir sacrificed 22 lives for the completion of Azan. Today, 22 crore people are ready to sacrifice their lives for the completion of Kashmir and the completion of Pakistan.
