Mirpur () Corps Commander 10 Corps Rawalpindi Lt. Gen Shahid Imtiaz has laid the memorial of the martyrs’ foundation stone at Army Public School and College , Kalri Akbarabad in district Bhimber .
The aim of the construction of the memorial is to pay rich homage to approximately 5000 martyrs of AJK , who sacrificed their lives for the sake of the country.

On the occasion Lt.Gen.(R) Sher Afghan, GOC Jhelum Major General Nadeem Ashraf, Brig. Tehseen Akbar, Commissioner Mirpur Division Chaudhary Shaukat Ali, DIG Police Dr Khalid Mehmood, other high ranked officials and representatives of civil society were present.
