Islamabad: Consultant for the Darel-Tangir Expressway project from MM Pakistan Retired Brigadier Pervez Hayat Niazi, held a pivotal meeting with Sibtain Ahmed, the Provincial Secretary of Public Works in Islamabad. The session delved into various technical aspects of the ambitious infrastructure initiative.
The comprehensive discussion encompassed critical elements such as the tender stages of the project, surveys conducted by consultants on all four packages, detailed design considerations, preparation of tender documents, and a meticulous review of overall project management and construction oversight.
Expressing commendation for the consultants’ exemplary work, the Provincial Secretary of Public Works announced a unanimous decision to propel the project into its subsequent phases. An agreement was solidified to initiate the project with renewed determination, harnessing all required qualifications for timely completion.
Emphasizing the immense significance of the Darel-Tangir Expressway project, the Provincial Secretary highlighted its potential to enhance inter-regional relations. He underscored the rapid strides being made towards implementation, with expectations of transformative effects on the road infrastructure in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Stressing their commitment to the development and progress of Gilgit-Baltistan, the Provincial Secretary noted ongoing dedicated efforts, resulting in tangible improvements. The populace is anticipated to benefit from enhanced facilities in telecommunications and road infrastructure.
The Darel-Tangir Expressway project, a long-standing demand of the local residents, comprises a total road length of 81.6 kilometers. The construction of these roads is poised to serve as a crucial and significant link, fostering development in the Tangir, Darel, Khunjerab, Boner, and Diamer regions.
This marks a significant milestone in the realization of the much-anticipated Darel-Tangir Expressway, promising transformative changes for the region.
