Islamabad: President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, congratulated the newly elected administration and members of the Central Press Council on their success in the 2024 elections. He stated that the Central Press Council of Muzaffarabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, is an ancient and historical journalistic institution that has always prioritized representing both sides of the state of Jammu and Kashmir in its first preferences.
President Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry further emphasized that whether it is the issue of Kashmir, representation of the oppressed and middle class, or raising awareness about the injustices and atrocities in Kashmir, the Central Press Council has always played a crucial role. He expressed that the Kashmir issue is currently going through a delicate phase, and after the general elections in India, the extremist Modi and his party have once again targeted Kashmir. There are widespread imprisonments and punishments in occupied Kashmir, and despite the entire political leadership being in jails across the border, the world remains silent, causing intense concern among the Kashmiris.
