Islamabad: The Jammu Kashmir Self Determination Movement International (JKSDMI) delegation, led by its Founding Chairman Raja Najabat Hussain (Sitara-i-Pakistan), participated in the Kashmir Black Day Rally held in Islamabad on Monday, 27th October.
The event was jointly organised by the Ministry of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan in collaboration with the Pakistan Foreign Office, to mark Kashmir Black Day and express solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
The rally commenced with an opening address by Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan, Mr. Ameer Muqam (MNA), who reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering political, diplomatic, and moral support for the Kashmiri people in their legitimate struggle for the right to self-determination.
Other distinguished speakers included Muhammad Farooq Rehmani, representative of the Hurriyat Conference (Azad Kashmir Chapter), and Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon (MNA), Chairman of the Parliamentary Kashmir Committee, along with senior officials from the Jammu Kashmir Liberation Cell, Rawalpindi, and other ministries.
The event was attended by Former Lord Mayor of Stoke-on-Trent Councillor Majid Khan, and several dignitaries, scholars, and representatives from civil society who reiterated their commitment to continue raising awareness about the ongoing human rights violations in Kashmir.
The JKSDMI leadership praised the efforts of the organisers and reaffirmed the diaspora’s continued advocacy for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination in accordance with United Nations resolutions.
