Bradford Lord Mayor Visits Muslim Hands Projects in Mirpur

Mirpur: The Lord Mayor of Bradford, UK, Muhammad Shafiq, along with a delegation of distinguished community leaders, visited the Muslim Hands Mirpur office and several ongoing welfare projects operated by the organisation.

The delegation included Chairman JKSDMA Raja Najabat Hussain, decorated with Sitara-e-Pakistan, former Lord Mayor of Bradford Muhammad Ranjha Zeb, Director Bradford NHS Trust UK Madam Sughra Nazir, solicitor Waseem Rafiq, former Oldham councillor Muhammad Sharif, JKSDMI Country Coordinator Raja Sajid Mahmood, and Managing Director of Khadak Vision 2050 Charity Babar Mukhtar.

During the visit to the Muslim Hands office, the guests received a detailed briefing from the management on various community welfare initiatives. They were later taken to the Al-Kubra Training and Production Centre in Ali Baig, Mirpur, as well as the Solid Waste Management Project’s IRR Centre, where they were thoroughly briefed on the operations and impact of these programmes.

Lord Mayor Muhammad Shafiq highly appreciated Muslim Hands’ efforts, particularly in women’s empowerment through the Al-Kubra Training and Production Centre and in environmental solutions through effective waste management and water-related services. He said the organisation’s contribution to social empowerment and environmental improvement was commendable.

The Lord Mayor and his accompanying delegates assured Muslim Hands of their continued cooperation and support in the future.

Director Global Operations Raja Arsalan Nusrat, Executive Manager Muslim Hands Mirpur Muhammad Suleman, Head of Programmes Bilal Anjum Kazmi, Finance Manager Faraz Ahmad, and other officials were also present.
