CDA Chairman reviews Islamabad Model Jail Project

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, visited the under-construction Islamabad Model Jail project in Sector H-16 on Monday and inspected the ongoing construction work. Member Engineering, Syed Nafasat Raza, DG Works along with other concerned officers, briefed Chairman CDA on the progress of the ongoing developmental activities at the Islamabad Model Jail project.

Chairman CDA, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, instructed that all development work on the project must be of high quality and completed at the earliest. He directed that the construction of the Admin Block and Kitchen of the Islamabad Model Jail be completed within the current month. He further directed that the work on the jail’s hospital and barracks also be completed within the current month.

Chairman CDA directed to commence the work of aesthetically pleasing landscaping and environmentally friendly plantation around the Islamabad Model Jail. He directed that the remaining boundary wall work around the jail also be completed promptly.

Chairman CDA further directed that the installation of all main entrance gates of the Islamabad Model Jail be completed as soon as possible. He directed that the road infrastructure work also be completed swiftly. He directed that work on the installation of tube wells be started soon to ensure immediate water supply.

Chairman CDA directed that the drainage and sewerage system works be completed immediately. He said that continuous follow-up be maintained with IESCO to ensure the immediate provision of electricity to the Islamabad Model Jail. Chairman CDA, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, further directed that the Project Director and Resident Engineers ensure high quality and earliest completion through effective monitoring of all ongoing construction activities on the project.
