PM Rathore pledges full support for promotion of Quranic education across AJK

Muzaffarabad: Prime Minister of Azad Government of the State of Jammu and Kashmir, Faisal Mumtaz Rathore, was given a detailed briefing on departmental affairs by Secretary Religious Affairs and Auqaf, Zakat and Ushr, Social Welfare and Women Development, Riffat Hussain.

The briefing session was attended by Principal Secretary Zafar Mahmood and Director Religious Affairs and Secretary Tajweed-ul-Quran Trust, Syed Wajahat Hussain Gardezai.

The Secretary briefed the Prime Minister in detail about the religious, educational, and reformative activities of the Tajweed-ul-Quran Trust. It was informed that the Trust is playing an effective role across Azad Kashmir in promoting correct recitation of the Holy Quran, teaching Tajweed, creating religious awareness, and strengthening moral values. Due to the efforts of the Tajweed-ul-Quran Trust, the tendency towards understanding the Holy Quran among the younger generation is increasing.

The Prime Minister was also apprised of the financial and other challenges being faced by the Trust.

Speaking on the occasion, Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore appreciated the services of the Tajweed-ul-Quran Trust and said that its efforts to promote Quranic education and proper recitation with Tajweed are commendable. He assured that the government would take all possible steps to address the financial constraints of the institution and resolve other issues.

He said that religious education is the foundation of intellectual and moral reform in society, and the Government of Azad Kashmir will continue to extend full support to religious and welfare institutions.

The Prime Minister expressed confidence that the Tajweed-ul-Quran Trust would continue to fulfill its responsibilities in the future with dedication, commitment, and professionalism, and reiterated that the government would take every possible measure to support the institution and promote public welfare.
