CDA reviews progress of new sector developments in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: A meeting was held at the CDA Headquarters on Wednesday, chaired by Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Muhammad Ali Randhawa, regarding the development of new sectors in the Federal Capital, Islamabad. The meeting was attended by Member Admin Talat Mahmood, Member Finance Tahir Naeem, Member Engineering Syed Nafasat Raza, Member Planning and Design Dr. Khalid Hafiz, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Irfan Nawaz Memon and other senior officers. The meeting conducted a detailed review of the progress on development work in the new sectors.

While briefing Chairman CDA on the progress regarding sector development, the concerned officers said that the basic infrastructure work in Sector C-14 has entered its final stages. The briefing said that the process of handing over possession of plots in Sector C-14 will commence soon.

Chairman CDA directed that signboards displaying plot and street numbers be installed, keeping in view the convenience of plot owners. He also directed that information for all plots in Sector C-14 be made available on the e-map.

While briefing Chairman CDA on the progress in the development work of Sector I-12, it was briefed that almost all residential and commercial plots in Sector I-12 have entered the final stages of their development.

Chairman CDA Muhammad Ali Randhawa said that in Sector I-12, all basic infrastructure facilities, including e-maps, signboards and street lights should be ensured.

The meeting also reviewed the progress in the development work of Sector E-12. The briefing said that the basic infrastructure work in Sub-sectors 1 and 2 of Sector E-12 has entered its final stages. It was further briefed that development work in Sub-sector 3 of Sector E-12 is ongoing, while tenders for development work in Sub-sector 4 will be issued soon after removing the existing obstacles.

Chairman CDA directed that the handing over of possession of developed plots in Sector E-12 be expedited. He said that the complete removal of illegal constructions and encroachments in Sector E-12 must be ensured.

Chairman CDA directed that not only should the possession process for developed plots be expedited in all sectors, but the provision of basic infrastructure and facilities should also be ensured. He further said that providing the best residential facilities to the citizens of the Federal Capital, Islamabad is among our priorities.
