Islamabad: All groups of Pakistan Muslim League (N) in Gilgit-Baltistan have decided to move forward unitedly in the upcoming elections.
An important meeting was held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister Engineer Amir Muqam, where consensus was reached between the Hafiz Hafeezur Rehman group and the Akbar Taban–Muhammad Anwar group.
“Pakistan Muslim League (N) is one party; we will contest the elections united under the leadership of Nawaz Sharif,” said Federal Minister Amir Muqam.
“Party tickets will be awarded on merit; all differences have been completely resolved,” he added.
“I consider myself part of the PML-N team in Gilgit-Baltistan,” said Federal Minister Amir Muqam.
“We are on the same page and will move forward with Nawaz Sharif’s vision,” said PML-N Gilgit-Baltistan President Hafiz Hafeezur Rehman.
“Our hearts are clear; we are one with complete consensus and unity,” said General Secretary Akbar Taban.
A large number of party leaders, including former minister Muhammad Anwar, attended the PML-N Gilgit-Baltistan meeting.
Prior to the meeting, Engineer Amir Muqam also held separate meetings with both parties.
After the meeting, on the instruction of Federal Minister Amir Muqam, both groups embraced each other.
