Mirpur: The two-day annual Urs of the great spiritual leader of the Subcontinent, Hazrat Baba Pira Shah Ghazi, popularly known as Damri Wali Sarkar (RA), concluded with deep religious devotion, reverence, and traditional spiritual practices.
Due to the sad demise of President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, the Urs was observed with simplicity and strict adherence to religious traditions. Millions of devotees from across the country visited the shrines of Hazrat Baba Pira Shah Ghazi (RA) and Rumi of Kashmir Hazrat Mian Muhammad Bakhsh (RA), where they offered prayers and paid homage. Throughout the Urs, recitations of Durood-o-Salaam and the mystical poetry of Hazrat Mian Muhammad Bakhsh (RA) echoed in the surroundings, spiritually uplifting the devotees.
Hundreds of devotees arrived in organized caravans, while large quantities of langar were distributed among the participants. Under the supervision of the Auqaf Department, comprehensive arrangements were made in collaboration with the district administration, police, and other institutions. Effective security and administrative measures ensured that all Urs activities remained peaceful and that devotees faced no inconvenience.
The concluding prayer ceremony of the Urs was held at the Central Jamia Mosque, Khari Sharif. Addressing the gathering were Director Auqaf Sardar Muhammad Shafiq, Allama Dr. Zubair Ahmed Naqshbandi, Allama Abdul Razzaq Chishti, Chaudhry Karamat Khari, and other prominent religious scholars. The Shajra Sharif was recited by Mian Muhammad Iftikhar Qadri, while the concluding prayer was led by Allama Muhammad Zubair Naqshbandi.
Among those present on the occasion were Director Shafiq-ur-Rehman Dar, Deputy Director Iqbal War, Assistant Director Auqaf Zaheer-ud-Din Babar, Information Officer Muhammad Javed Malik, a large number of religious scholars, devotees, and members of the public.
Speaking at the concluding ceremony, Director Auqaf Sardar Muhammad Shafiq and Allama Zubair Ahmed Naqshbandi said that the shrines of great saints including Hazrat Baba Pira Shah Ghazi (RA) and Hazrat Mian Muhammad Bakhsh (RA) are centers of guidance and spiritual enlightenment, where millions of people come to seek blessings and fulfillment of their prayers. Other speakers highlighted that Hazrat Baba Pira Shah Ghazi (RA) holds a distinguished spiritual status in Jammu and Kashmir and the Subcontinent, and that his spiritual blessings continue to benefit countless devotees even today.
