AKNS Marks Kashmir Solidarity Day in Islamabad

Islamabad: A dignified ceremony marking Kashmir Solidarity Day was organized by the Azad Kashmir Newspaper Society in Islamabad, with the special participation of Sahibzada Haq Khateeb Hussain Ali Badshah, founder and supreme leader of the Global Tehreek Tahaffuz Khatm-e-Nabuwwat.

On his arrival, officials of the Azad Kashmir Newspaper Society, staff of the daily Kashmir Express and office-bearers of the Riwaj organization accorded him a warm and enthusiastic welcome. The event formally began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a devotional presentation in praise of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Speakers from AKNS and the Riwaj organization expressed gratitude for Sahibzada Haq Khateeb Hussain Ali Badshah’s presence and appreciated his continued support and solidarity with the Kashmiri people.

Addressing the gathering, Sahibzada Haq Khateeb Hussain Ali Badshah said that Kashmir is the lifeline of Pakistan and a sacred land associated with saints and spiritual heritage. He said the bond with the Kashmiri people is rooted in faith and history and will remain strong. Referring to geographical proximity, he added that the people of the region share each other’s pain and suffering.

He said Kashmir represents a vital identity of the Muslim Ummah and that the sacrifices made by the Kashmiri people for freedom are unforgettable. Paying tribute to the martyrs of Kashmir, he said their sacrifices would never go in vain.

During the ceremony, Sahibzada Haq Khateeb Hussain Ali Badshah congratulated Zahid Tabassum, Chief Editor of the daily Kashmir Express, on being elected for the sixth time as President of the Azad Kashmir Newspaper Society. He also extended best wishes to other newly elected office-bearers and appreciated their journalistic services.

Speaking on the occasion, Zahid Tabassum thanked the chief guest and said his presence was an honor for the journalistic community. He reiterated that Kashmir Express would continue to raise the voice of the Kashmiri people at national and international levels.

The ceremony was also addressed by AKNS Vice President Nisar Kiani, Finance Secretary Ijaz Khan, Information Secretary Dilawar Bukhari and Country News Chief Editor Sardar Hamid. A large number of senior journalists, former office-bearers and notable personalities attended the event.

The gathering concluded with a special prayer for the freedom of occupied Kashmir, elevation of the ranks of martyrs, and peace and security of the country and the nation.
