“Kashmir and Pakistan in the Historical Perspective” Launched at a Prestigious Ceremony in Rawalakot

Rawalakot — A dignified book launch ceremony of the 650-page work titled “Kashmir and Pakistan in the Historical Perspective ” by distinguished educationist Professor Fayyaz Khalid was held at a local hotel under the joint collaboration of Jammu & Kashmir Arts Council Rawalakot and Dharti Publications Rawalakot.

The chief guests on the occasion were renowned writer and poet Akram Suhail and former Registrar High Court Riaz Naumani, while the ceremony was presided over by the author himself, Professor Fayyaz Khalid. The stage proceedings were conducted by Irfan Hameed.

The event was attended by serving and retired officers of the Education Department, teachers, intellectuals, lawyers, and individuals from various walks of life. Speakers appreciated the diverse themes of the book, particularly its writings on the Kashmir issue, stating that the author has presented significant historical points in a comprehensive manner supported by authentic evidence and references.

The speakers remarked that the book represents the culmination of decades of scholarly and literary efforts. It comprises the author’s articles published in newspapers and journals over many years, along with selected research reports. They also commended Professor Fayyaz Khalid — a former history teacher now living a retired life — for remaining actively engaged with national and historical issues with intellectual seriousness and commitment.

In their addresses, the chief guests noted that this 650-page volume not only highlights the historical relationship between Kashmir and Pakistan in a well-argued manner but also serves as an authentic reference for the younger generation.

Speaking on the occasion, Professor Fayyaz Khalid shared the challenges he faced during the compilation and editing of the book, describing it as the result of many years of dedicated effort. He expressed gratitude to those who supported the publication of the book and to all participants who attended the ceremony.

The ceremony concluded with the formal unveiling of the book. Participants paid tribute to the author’s scholarly services and extended their best wishes.
