On Saturday, an 18-year-old hostess on a bus headed for Vehari was allegedly raped at gunpoint by the vehicle’s security guard on the way there.
Police requested a physical remand for 14 days on Sunday when they brought the guard and driver they had arrested before a special court.
The suspects, on the other hand, were remanded in police custody by the court for four days. The suspects’ DNA will also be tested, according to the police.
The hostess from Rahim Yar Khan was also brought to court to give her statement.
The perpetrators would be dealt with in accordance with the law, and the police stated that they were gathering evidence related to the incident.
A DNA test would be done on both suspects, according to Nasir Mehmood, a house officer at Daniwal Police Station. After gathering all the evidence, they would face severe consequences.
In the meantime, the woman’s father has voiced his displeasure with the police investigation.
He claimed that the FIR was not filed with him. He demanded severe punishment for the culprits and wanted to file a case on his own terms.
The police claim that the bus leaving Mailsi for Vehari was empty because everyone had already been dropped off. The guard snatched the hostess’s phone while it was traveling to Vehari and moved to the back seats. The guard raped the woman with a gun as she approached him to retrieve her phone.
The woman yelled and gathered people when the bus reached Vehari. The guard fled the scene when they saw this.
On Saturday night, police arrived quickly, transported the woman to a hospital, arrested the guard, and filed a rape complaint.
The rape had been found out by a preliminary medical examination.
