Silsila Alikhel has reportedly returned to her residence in the federal capital.
The daughter of Afghanistan’s ambassador to Pakistan, Najibullah Alikhel, was abducted by unknown individuals in Islamabad and has now reportedly returned to her residence.
The Afghan embassy in Islamabad and the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed the incident.

However, the Afghan ministry claimed that Silsila Alikhel “was abducted for several hours and severely tortured”.
Condemning the incident, Kabul expressed “its deep concern over the safety and security” of it diplomats and their families in Pakistan.
The ministry said the ambassador’s daughter is receiving medical care at a local hospital.
