Ahsan Raza becomes the first umpire to stand in 50 men’s T20Is

Rawalpindi: Pakistan’s Ahsan Raza has become the first official in the T20I format to officiate 50 matches as an on-field umpire.

Ahsan reached the landmark in the ongoing second T20I between Pakistan and Zimbabwe at Pindi Cricket Stadium.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) congratulated and awarded a special memento the 46-year-old for achieving this landmark.

A ceremony was held before the start of second T20I. Record-breaker umpire Aleem Dar presented memento to Ahsan.

“I never thought of reaching this milestone as the first umpire to do so in T20Is. Thanks to PCB for giving me the opportunity as a lead umpire in the home series,” Ahsan said.
