Mirpur — Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has formally launched admissions for the Spring Semester 2026 in various programmes ranging from Matriculation to PhD.
According to details, Regional Director AIOU Mirpur Sheikh Faisal Shehzad said that keeping in view the changing social, economic and market needs at national and international levels, several new programmes have been introduced in this academic session to provide students with quality education and improved professional opportunities.
The newly introduced programmes include Associate Degrees, BS programmes, open courses and certificate programmes. Associate Degree programmes have been launched in Political Science, International Relations, Mass Communication, Commerce, Psychology and Data Analytics, aligned with modern professional requirements.
At the BS level, programmes being offered include BS Psychology, BS Mass Communication, BS International Relations, BS History, BS Political Science and BS E-Commerce. A Science group has also been introduced at the Matric level.
In addition, the university is offering short-term certificate programmes and open courses aimed at individuals seeking skill development and professional growth. Admissions are also open for MPhil and PhD programmes, with the last date for submission of applications set as February 17, 2026.
