Mirpur: Azad Jammu and Kashmir Minister for Energy and Water Resources, Chaudhry Arshad Hussain, has termed the Barsala Khari Sharif tragedy as one of the most sorrowful days in the area’s history, urging restraint, patience, and wisdom in resolving issues and disputes.
Talking to media representatives, the minister said that human life is a priceless gift from Allah Almighty and must be valued at all costs. He said that intolerance often leads to such tragic incidents and emphasized the need for patience and mutual understanding in society.
Chaudhry Arshad Hussain said that he has directed the Mirpur administration, the SSP, and the police to ensure the immediate arrest of those involved in the incident and to conduct a transparent and impartial inquiry so that the requirements of justice can be fulfilled.
He said that the entire constituency of Khari Sharif is currently engulfed in grief. While human life has no substitute, he added, timely justice can help alleviate the pain and suffering of the bereaved families.
The minister further directed administrative officers to ensure prompt action, stating that swift response and the provision of immediate justice are essential to prevent such incidents in the future.
