Additional Chief Secretary Development Fayyaz Ali Abbasi and UNICEF Deputy Country Representative Dr. Inoussa Kabore signed the work plan documents.
Speaking on the occasion, Additional Chief Secretary Development Fayyaz Ali Abbasi said that UNICEF has done excellent work in Azad Kashmir in the past and we hope that UNICEF’s cooperation will continue in the future.
We appreciate the efforts of the entire UNICEF team for preparing the work plan after the coordination of the UNICEF delegation with the various departments of Azad Kashmir and assure UNICEF of full support from the Government of Azad Kashmir.
Deputy Country Representative Dr. Inoussa Kabore said that UNICEF’s mission is to provide social protection to every child regardless of who they are and where they belong to. They are and will continue to do so in the future. We have drawn up a work plan with the secretaries of the respective sectors, on which work will begin soon. Meanwhile, UNICEF officials also gave a briefing regarding the work plan of different sectors.
On this occasion, Secretary Planning and Development Mohammad Idris Abbasi, Secretary Local Government and Rural Development Shahid Mohiuddin Qadri, Secretary Physical Planning and Housing Ghulam Bashir Mughal, Secretary Elementary and Secondary Education Zahid Abbasi, Secretary Public Health Major General Zaheer Akhtar, Secretary Agriculture and Livestock Sardar Javed Ayub, Planning and Development Department and UNICEF officers were also presented.
