MUZAFFARABAD, February 2, 2026: Minister for Public Health and Population Welfare, Government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Syed Bazil Ali Naqvi, has said that the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) government is committed to strengthening the education and health sectors on a priority basis and ensuring the provision of quality services at the doorsteps of the people.
He expressed these views while addressing a dignified retirement ceremony held in honor of Principal and renowned educationist Syed Amjad Hussain Kazmi at Government Boys Middle School Chhalpani, where he attended as the chief guest.
The Minister stated that under the government’s education package, comprehensive reforms are being introduced in public sector educational institutions, which will yield long-term and positive results. He emphasized that teachers are the architects of the nation and that an educated society is the foundation of a progressive state.
On the request and personal initiative of Principal Syed Amjad Hussain Kazmi, the Minister announced a grant of Rs. 200,000 for the construction of a school playground at Government Boys Middle School Chhalpani to promote sports and healthy activities among students.
Paying glowing tribute to the retiring headmaster, Syed Bazil Ali Naqvi said that Syed Amjad Hussain Kazmi’s four decades of educational, social, and moral services were highly commendable. He noted that Kazmi not only raised academic standards but also played a pivotal role in the character-building of students. The Minister also congratulated the district education officials, teachers, and local community for organizing a well-managed and graceful ceremony.

The speakers highlighted Syed Amjad Hussain Kazmi’s dedication, discipline, honesty, and student-friendly approach, describing him as a role-model teacher and an asset to the education department.
In his address, the retiring Headmaster Syed Amjad Hussain Kazmi said that his 41-year-long service was marked by honesty, discipline, sense of duty, and devotion to public service. He expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for granting him an honorable retirement after a long career and thanked the teachers, students, and local community for their love, respect, and appreciation. He added that even after retirement, he would continue to contribute to the promotion of education and guidance of the younger generation.
The ceremony was attended by former Municipal Magistrate Syed Sajjad Hussain Naqvi, Syed Zahoor Hussain Naqvi, Asad Naqvi, Mohsin Naqvi, political and social figures, senior officers of the Education Department, teachers, a large number of local residents, and students.
