Govt taking remarkable steps against child labor: Noreen Arif

MUZAFFARABAD: The incumbent government of PML-N in Azad Jammu and Kashmir is committed for eradicating the curse of child labor from the state, said the AJK Minister for Industries and Women Development, Noreen Arif here on Friday. She expressed this on the eve of child labor day in Muzaffarabd.

She said that children are the hope of future. Future of the country is linked with the future of children. Taking labor work from the under age children is a crime. Strict actions should be taken against those elements which take labor work from children, she added.

Noreen Arif said that the percentage of child labor in Azad Jammu and Kashmir is quite better than that of all the other areas of Pakistan. However, the government is committed to eradicate the roots of child labor from AJK. It is the responsibility of every citizen to ensure education of children, she further said.
