KP Journalist S.K Sami recuperates from COVID-19

PESHAWAR: S.K Sami, senior journalist and Chief Reporter Daily Country News, Peshawar recovered from COVID-19 after battling with the pandemic disease for 18 days. The journalist was affected by the coronavirus pandemic while performing his duties. Talking to this scribe on phone S.K Sami said that his wife and two children had also got affected by the virus but despite getting admitted in a hospital he preferred to consult his private family doctor for medication while remaining for eighteen days in quarantine. The journalist extended his gratitude to the entire journalist fraternity, friends and family members for wishing him get well soon. “I am literally short of words for saying thanks to all those who prayed for me and my family and help defeat this fatal disease” he appreciated. S.K Sami further said that provincial adviser for Information Ajmal Wazir had announced that all those who caught Coronavirus during performing frontline duties must not only be accessed immediately and also compensated. The entire journalistic fraternity pined hope from the above statement by the KP government. To a query the journalist said that he had suffered from all the symptoms of the disease which were indicated by the health experts. “I had been afflicted by all the indication like high fever, severe and uncontrollable cough, problem in taking breath and above all the most dangerous and unbearable body pain” he said. At the end the media man appealed to all the people to take the pandemic serious rather than to ignore it as prevention is better than cure. He said that this is a kind of disease which should not be taken light because even after getting treated this illness leaves not only physical but as well as psychological impact on the victims. Once again advising those people who are ignorant of the seriousness of this disease, he said the only solution to tackling this pandemic is to take extra care. “Be careful and follow public aware messages” he added.
