ISLAMABAD: President Rawalpindi Islamabad Bureaus Journalist Association (RIBJA), Sardar Shaukat Mehmood Khan expressed gratitude for restoration of 25% quota allocated for the regional Newspapers here on Sunday. He paid rich thanks to all those who took part in RIBJA’s campaign for the restoration of allocated quota for the regional Newspapers. He said that the campaign of RIBJA was started during the Holy month of Ramadan. The prolonged struggle of RIBJA with the support of Pakistan Federal Union of Journalists (PFUJ), and Rawalpindi Islamabad Union of Journalists (RIUJ) has been succeeded. It is an historical victory for media persons. After this victory, RIBJA is all set to do struggle for just division of media now. It will also struggle for that segment of media industry which has been neglected for last couple of months, he added. He paid special thanks to the former President PFUJ, Afzal Butt for his continued support throughout the struggle despite his bad health condition.
