AJK High Court granted stay on cattle market

Mirpur: The Azad Kashmir High Court while hearing a writ petition filed by Ikhlaq Ahmed versus District Administration Mirpur, issued stay order on cattle market established by district administration of Mirpur. The counsel of petitioner submitted before the high court that petitioner is the contractor of district council Mirpur and was allotted the contract for four years (July 2018 till June 2021), despite that with the connivance of the district council and municipal officials, the tender of cattle market was allotted to another contractor for Rs 1.9 Million rupees.The High Court granted stay on cattle market and summoned the district administration with reply on 31-July-2020
