Peshawar: The 29th meeting of the Board of Governors of LRH held at LRH here on Thursday.
Hospital Spokesperson Muhammad Asim while giving details, said that the meeting was chaired by Chairman Board of Governors Prof. Nausherwan Khan Burki while members included Justice (Retd) Mian Muhammad Ajmal, Dr. Shahnaz Nawaz, Khalid Sultan Khawaja, Prof. Dr. Ghulam Siddique and Shamsul Qayyum participated the said meeting.A detailed briefing regarding COVID 19 patients has been given to the BOG while situation in view of Muharram Ul Haram is also discussed.
Hospital Director Dr. Khalid Masud, Dean Prof. Abdul Latif Khan, MD Dr. Zafar Mahmood, Associate Hospital Director Tariq Burki and Nursing Director Muhammad Ilyas also briefed the Board on various issues and progress of their respective domains.Prof. Nausherwan Khan Burki appreciated the steps taken to resume OPD services with SOPs and said that OPD should be opened as soon as possible so that the patients who have been deprived of treatment due to Corona get access to medical facilities as previously.After the meeting, Chairman BOG visited various wards and ICU where he also interacted with the patients and met with doctors.Prof. Nausherwan Khan Burki said that modern and indiscriminate healthcare facilities are available in LRH now.
“It was a dream which came true as Billions of worth of modern machinery and other equipments are purchased as well as specialist doctors have been recruited in various specialities, the fruits of which are being reaped by the patients”, said Nausherwan Burki The Board of Governors also visited the OPD filtration Clinic and hinted at starting OPD as soon as possible.
